Malas are used to count mantras, prayers, and prostrations. Traditionally, they consist of either 108 or 111 beads and are made from a variety of seeds, wood, and semiprecious stones. The large bead is called the guru bead, symbolizing the teacher ~ the 111 bead malas include three spacing beads. All of our practice and wrist malas will be shipped in a handsome black box.
Mala restringing is offered by the sangha member who has created many of our malas at Tibetan Treasures ~ please send all inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org
