This is a copper replica of a much older statue that was made in the likeness of Longchenpa during his lifetime. Longchenpa, also known as Longchen Rabjam or Drimé Özer (1308-1364), was one of the most brilliant teachers of the Nyingma lineage. He systematized the Nyingma teachings in his Seven Treasures and both wrote extensively on Dzogchen and transmitted the Longchen Nyingtik cycle of teachings.
"Since everything is but an illusion, perfect in being what it is, having nothing to do with good or bad, acceptance or rejection, one might as well burst out laughing!" ~ Longchenpa
